The Safer Schools – Liverpool Launch is geared towards showcasing the ‘Safer Schools App’ and how it can be of benefit to all schools within Liverpool City Council who have their full programme of insurance with Zurich Municipal.

This exclusive event provides delegates with the opportunity to discover and learn about Safer Schools; an innovative App designed by ‘Ineqe Safeguarding Group’ in partnership with ‘Zurich Municipal’.

At Safer Schools we understand the importance of keeping our young people safer, alongside providing solutions to the various issues facing parents, carers and those responsible for educating and empowering our adults of tomorrow.

The Safer Schools App has been designed to combat contemporary issues that young people, educators and parents are facing online/offline, providing a platform for referral and general safeguarding techniques. Whether you’re concerned in relation to; Social Media, Gaming, Bullying, Sexting, Mental Health or would like to attain CPD Accreditation, it is all covered extensively. The ultimate goal of the app is to empower pupils and provide a credible resource for faculty and guardians.

★ Gain an understanding of safeguarding in the context of young people’s lives and the use of social media.

★ Develop the ability to spot potential threats and issues where offenders use online tactics and new technology to cause harm.

★ Identify ways to formulate prevention and intervention strategies for safety online and ways to help young people to protect themselves.

★ Participate in the SSNAP Card experiential learning activity which will challenge current awareness of online risks.

★ Discover the benefits of the Safer Schools app and resources for your entire School Community and how to get your free* access.

This Safer Schools Workshop is designed to keep teachers, heads, DSLs, senior leadership & school staff up to date with current themes, trends & best practice. They can also discover our award-winning Safer Schools App* and resources and the benefits for their entire school community.

SSNAP Card Activity

Our award winning Safer Social Networking Activity Pack (SSNAP) is an educational resource designed for teachers, youth leaders and child protection professionals. The activities have been designed for both the novice and the experienced social media user.

This part of the seminar will give delegates the opportunity to participate in the activity, challenge their knowledge of safe use of social media and learn from each other’s experiences.

As CEO and founding member of the Ineqe Safeguarding Group, Jim provided input and oversaw the development and design of the Social Networking Activity Pack (SSNAP). His background and experience as the former Chief Executive of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre and current Independent Chair of the City and Hackney and Bromley Safeguarding Children Boards has ensured the learnings from SSNAP training are contemporary and relevant.

This exclusive event provides delegates with the opportunity to discover and learn about Safer Schools; an innovative App designed by ‘Ineqe Safeguarding Group’ in partnership with ‘Zurich Municipal’.
