Effective safeguarding often requires schools to work collaboratively with a number of different agencies and organisations – such as health professionals,  Children’s Social Care or the Police. One of the biggest safeguarding challenges schools are likely to face is knowing when it is appropriate to share information about a child or young person, and which agency they need to share this information with.

Our infographic aims to help schools understand the key points they need to address in order to establish whether or not sharing information is a necessary and proportionate step that is in the child’s interests.
