Fortnite will Return to Apple Phones

Owners of iPhones and iPads could soon be able to play Fortnite again, via a cloud service, the BBC has discovered
Nvidia has developed a version of its GeForce cloud gaming service that runs in the mobile web browser Safari
Apple will not get a cut of virtual items sold within the Battle Royale fighting title when played this way
Apple is embroiled in a legal fight with Fortnite’s developer Epic, which led the iPhone-maker to remove the game from its iOS App Store
Epic has claimed that the 30% commission Apple charges on in-app gaming purchases is anti-competitive
But Apple has accused Epic of wanting a “free ride” and the case is due to go to trial in May and could take years to be resolved

Facebook is seeing an increase in worrying activity around the US election, according to reports from The New York Times and BuzzFeed News
Facebook has been tracking a rise in “violence and incitement trends” associated with hashtags and keywords according to an internal message board viewed by Buzzfeed.
Facebook said that the company is seeing a rise in misinformation about the election. “As vote counting continues, we are seeing more reports of inaccurate claims about the election
This news comes after Facebook successfully removed a group called “Stop the Steal”, which was organizing rallies and fundraising to challenge election results across the US. The group accumulated more than 300,000 members in the less than 48 hours

Apple officially released iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 today, bringing a variety of new features including many new features including new emojis
New emojis include a ninja, a transgender pride flag, a coin, bubble tea, a dodo, a piñata, a tamale, and more
It also brings the new “pinched finger” emoji which has already been featured in countless memes and is considered to be a “frustrated Italian hand gesture” emoji
The new update also brings other improvements to iOS 14, including eight new wallpapers, a refreshed AirPlay menu, a new Shazam toggle for Control Center, and the usual array of bug fixes
