NSE announces string of esports partnerships for 2024
- NSE, a student esports body and tournament organiser, announced various partnerships for 2024.
- The news came ahead of NSE’s spring season of the British University Esports Championship, which launched on 4th February.
- Students will compete in several titles, including Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Dota 2 and Apex Legends.

Facebook and Instagram to label all fake AI images
- Meta has reported it will introduce technology that can detect, and label images generated by other companies’ AI tools.
- Although Meta already label AI images generated by its own systems, it hopes that the new tech will create “momentum” for the industry to tackle AI fakery.
- Meta is also asking users to label their own audio and video content, as their own tool will not work for this content, reporting that if users fail to do so, penalties may be applied.

Online Safety Act not strong enough, Brianna Ghey’s mum says
- Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old girl, was murdered in Cheshire, England.
- Her mother, Esther Ghey, believes that the Online Safety Act is not adequate, contrary to the insistence of the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
