Child abuse: Warning of siblings being groomed online
- Criminals and paedophiles are trying to groom and exploit young siblings as part of an emerging trend of online sexual abuse, experts have warned.
- The Internet Watch Foundation said victims ranged from 3-16 years, with some groomed to copy adult pornography.
- It found 511 examples involving siblings between September and December – roughly one in 30 instances of all “self-generated content” in that time.
- Campaigners say live streaming services need to do more to protect children.

YouTube drug-taking, sweary rap ad banned in UK
- An advert for a single by rapper Bamby H2O, which featured illegal drug use was “irresponsible” and must not appear again, the Advertising Standards Authority has said.
- The video, posted on YouTube, used expletives “likely to seriously offend” and was “gratuitous and objectified women”, the ASA said.
- According to YouTube, it removed the ad before the ASA ruling.
- Bamby H2O did not respond to the ASA or the BBC.
- In a statement, YouTube told the BBC: “YouTube ads should be safe and relevant, and we have strict policies against inappropriate, adult and dangerous content that we enforce vigorously.”

Doncaster school in emergency shut down by Ofsted over ‘safeguarding concerns’
- Fullerton House in Denaby has had its education licence suspended by education watchdog Ofsted with immediate effect while an investigation is carried out.
- A spokesman for Ofsted confirmed that the school in Denaby Main had been ordered to stop childcare and said: “We can confirm that we have suspended the registration of Fullerton House School children’s home due to safeguarding concerns [but] cannot provide any further details while investigations are being carried out.”

Teenager stabs intruders with sword
- A teenage county lines drug-runner who used a sword to kill a Birmingham teenager has been locked up for ten years.
- The 17-year-old – who cannot be named – was found guilty last week of the manslaughter of Nasir Patrice, also 17.
- Jurors cleared the boy, from Lewisham, south London, of murder but also convicted him of perverting the course of justice and wounding a second victim, who suffered a collapsed lung and spent five days in the hospital.
- Mr Justice Turner accepted the youth had not struck the first blow when intruders linked to the Birmingham-based gang stormed a flat where the defendant was, containing cash and drugs including heroin.

Ex-teacher who groomed girl locked up for three years
- A man, aged 38, who is a former teacher admitted having sexual activity with the teenager after she made contact with West Midlands Police having discussed the grooming with a family friend.
- The teenager explained to officers that she believed she had entered into a marriage with Hussain after an over-the-phone ceremony.
- The girl had been given that phone, plus a bracelet, as birthday gifts by the offender.
- Detectives found 2,244 message exchanges between him and the girl, many of which were explicit, all sent over a five-week period in 2018.
