Guidance for using Ofsted’s IDSR

On the 6th September 2019, Ofsted updated their guidance for primary and secondary inspection data summary report (IDSR)

The advice provided allows schools to interpret the Summary Report. The IDSR provides inspectors Historical Data, forming ‘key lines of enquiry.’

According to the Summary Report, the ‘IDSR is designed to show how well previous cohorts showed characteristics of good or better performance.’

Furthermore, the updated guidance provides schools with answers to FAQ’s including areas to investigate, what the report looks like and where the data comes from.
