Last Christmas many of us were luckier than we perhaps realised. We met with family and friends, partied, shared presents, meals and hugs. We were able to physically connect with the people we love. This Christmas is set to be a little different. 2020 will be remembered for COVID-19, lockdown restrictions, sanitizer and social distancing.

So as vaccines roll out let’s stay safe, bubble up and let’s make this a kind and connected Christmas. To kick off our #ConnectedChristmas Campaign we’re launching our very own challenge to help you #BePositivelySocial.

What is the challenge:

The #ConnectedChristmas Campaign involves you doing something kind or helpful for someone else. This can be on or offline, and involves at least 1 act of Christmas kindness followed by nominating someone to ‘pay it forward’.

The aim of sharing it publicly is less about showing how great you are, and more about showing how we’re all part of a community that relies on each other, and that kindness is contagious. Showing your act of Christmas kindness publicly will hopefully encourage others to take part.

How to Take Part:

If you want to take part in the challenge, all you need is an action and a nominee. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Take a picture or use some text to create a social media post
  2. In the post explain what you’re doing, and why it’s important
  3. Tag or mention someone you nominate to pay it forward and pass it on
  4. Tag or mention Ineqe Safeguarding Group or Safer Schools on Social Media so we can share your Christmas Challenge
  5. Use the hashtag #ConnectedChristmas

If you’d prefer not to post publicly you can also share in private WhatsApp groups or via email at work.
