Safer Schools is moving

Switch before September 30th 2026

On September 30th 2026, the Safer Schools App will move completely onto the new Safer Schools platform. This is already included within your schools’ insurance package with our partners at Zurich Municipal. Nothing to buy, nothing to renew – a short confirmation is all that is required to ensure you continue to receive credible, up to date advice, alerts and resources.

Who are you?

School Staff

Designated safeguarding lead, head teacher, admin or digital lead. Click here to initiate your school’s updated access in under 5 minutes.

Parent or carer

If your child’s school is eligible to access Safer Schools via their school’s insurance package with our partners at Zurich Municipal, contact your school to find out how to access it on the new platform. They will need to re-register the school to allow you to get access and receive online safety updates.

A Young Person

If you use the Safer Schools app at school, ask your teacher to show you how to access the new version.

Process

What Happens Next?

You may have received an email and/or a phone call from us already explaining what to do as we confirm your information to continue providing you the Safer Schools service.

Step 1

Tell us who will be re-onboarding your school using the form at the bottom of this page.

Step 2

You will receive a confirmation of your submission and the team will begin work moving your access.

Step 3

You and any other named administrators will receive your Welcome emails within 2 business days.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to pay anything?

No! Your access is still included with your Zurich Municipal insurance package. The platform is just changing so we can offer more tools and resources to our Safer Schools.

The team will be in touch to move any existing data that is still relevant across. If we have not heard from you since your original registration, we may want to confirm your details to ensure we are using the correct information.

Not a problem! This is why the team will confirm all details before moving your account.

The old Safer Schools app, with the multi coloured app icon, is being deprecated, so we will no longer be maintaining the content within, or sending notifications to it’s users. This allows us more time to work on new app features and keeping our content up to date, rather than maintaining an old framework.

The Safer Schools app you’re using today will be retired on September 30th 2026. From that date it will no longer deliver alerts, content or notifications, and won’t be a working route into Safer Schools for pupils, staff or parents.
